How to Remotely Lock iPhone and iPad to Single Application using SureLock iOS?

SureLock locks down your iPhone and iPads with just one application running in the foreground all the time with disabled Home Button, Notifications and Control Center.

Getting started with SureLock is easy. All you need to do is:

- enroll the device with your SureLock account

- use SureLock Web Console to select an application and create a lockdown profile

- push the lockdown profile remotely to the device.

Here are the steps you can follow to lock your iPads and iPhones in Single Application Mode:

Note: Please make sure that you have Supervised Mode enabled in your device. Click here for the steps.

Steps to be performed on your device:

1. Launch Safari on your iOS device and go to - http://surelockios.42gears.com/enroll

2. On Device Enrollment screen, enter your Customer ID and tap on Enroll Device

3. On the Install Profile screen, tap on Install

4. On successful enrollment, you should see your iOS device on SureLock iOS Web Console

Steps to be performed on SureLock Web Console:

1. Launch Safari on your computer and go to - https://surelockios.42gears.com/Account/Login

2. Enter your Email Address and Password to login

3. On SureLock iOS Web Console screen, under Home tab, you will see the device listed

4. Click to select the device from the list and click on Lock

5. On the Lock Device prompt, use the drop down menu to select the application for single mode lockdown

6. On successful lockdown of the device with selected application, you will get following message:

   "Lockdown Profile successfully applied on <device name>"

7. You device is now locked with just one application running on the foreground all the time.

You also have option to create profiles and save them. This will make applying identical lockdown profile to mutliple devices quick and easy. Here is how you create a profile:

1. On SureLock iOS Web Console screen, click on Profiles tab

2. Under the Profiles tab, click on New to launch Create New Profile

3. On the Create New Profile prompt, select Single App Mode Profile

4. On Create New AppLock Profile, enter following details and click on Create:

      Name

      Description

      Application for Lockdown

5. Once done, you will see the AppLock Profile listed under Profiles Tab

6. Go to Home tab and select the device you want to lock by clicking on it

7. Click on Apply to launch Apply Profile prompt

8. On the Apply Profile prompt, select the AppLock Profile and click on Apply

Once done, the device is locked with just one application running on the foreground all the time with restricted access to home and external hardware buttons.
